3 Cities in 3 Days - Northeast, USA
Samantha, my college roommate, and I set out on a post-graduation getaway out East back in September! We are both always looking forward to a new adventure and we definitely needed to celebrate such a big accomplishment.
Here’s our exact itinerary if you’re looking for minimal planning ↓
3-DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1: Explore the beautiful coastal city of Boston, MA
Freedom Trail - Is a must! The trail is a great way to explore the city without a map and run into restaurants, monuments, parks, etc. along the way!
Tatte - Coffee drinker? Sweet tooth in the morning? This is the coffee shop/bakery for you!
Boston Public Market - Grab a bite to eat + check out all of the dining they have to offer.
Fan Pier Seaport District - Amazing view of the entire city skyline!
Boston Red Sox Game - Fenway Park has an atmosphere like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.
Cannoli Comparison at Modern Pastry + Mike’s Pastry.
DAY 2: Rent a car + head north to Portland, ME
Portland Head Lighthouse - located in southern Portland. Has an incredible view of the sea + is the perfect place to adventure.
Walk up + down the seaport to explore various shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
Portland Lobster Co. - if you’re looking for the real, authentic seafood experience, this is the place to eat! Their lobster rolls are a one of a kind!
Allagash Brewing Co. - a must visit brewery! Take their $5 tour that includes 4 kinds of beer they brew in-house. The tour guides are incredible. Make sure to grab a pint, sit outside on their patio, + enjoy some live music!
DAY 3: Final destination is North Conway, NH + White Mountains
White Mountains National Forest - if you’re looking for a hike, then this is the place! The forest has countless trails with a 360 view of breathtaking scenery.
*for travelers looking to ski - North Conway is the ranked one of the best ski towns in the Northeast.
Zip Line at Alpine Adventure - the perfect way for an adrenaline rush! Zip lining through the mountains is the most peaceful thing in the world. If you’re not afraid of heights, definitely check it out!
Car Climb Mt. Washington - a little nervous to hike in the mountains but still want to see the view? Car climb it! Pay $40/car + drive 8 miles to the top!
Now that I’ve provided TONS of things to do in Boston, Portland, and North Conway, you must add them as places to hit while out East. It was certainly a trip I’ll remember forever!
