“1 Year Ago Today”

First off, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! While some may be celebrating this holiday by consuming green beer or honoring the life of religious Saint Patrick, I however, will remember March 17th, in a not so celebratory light.

It’s been a chatter the last couple weeks referencing “1 Year Ago Today”. It represents a reminder of when the world was normal, ongoing, and busy as usual, to then suddenly in a state of shock, crisis, loss, confusion, and entering the unknown.

If you’ve been with me this entire journey thus far, thank you!! But if you’re tuning in for the first time today, I started Just Me, Jordan because I was 1 of the thousands that lost their job due to the pandemic.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, aka the day I lost my job which just so happens to land on a Wednesday this year, which is the day I release my articles. Ironic? I think not.

Anyways, I’m not here to dwell on the hardships WE have all faced over the last year of tragedy, I’m here to celebrate how far WE have come together. Being from Wisconsin, I am proud to live in a state that is #1 in the U.S. for providing vaccinations to fellow citizens. S/O to the essential workers for doing great!

This day might always be a reminder of something I lost, but it’s also a good reminder to look back and see how far I’ve come since then, what I’ve accomplished, where I am currently at, and where I am heading.
